Amy Hughes is an award-winning representational painter based in New York. She has exhibited widely internationally – most recently a solo exhibition at the International Art Museum of America, San Francisco. Hughes’ oil compositions reveal the importance of human connection in 2023. In obscure and sometimes fragmented scenes of parties and social settings, she harnesses a subject matter that is ripe for exploration in post-lockdown cultures.
